I love the tabed browsing, but I really dislike the fact that I have to click the little box to save the tabs that are open when I close the browser, it would make more sense to me and be more convenant to allow mutiple home pages by default without having to click the stupid little box every time, just call me lazy. Love the speed, don't think much of the new toolbar setup, some one else said something about the seporation of the back/forward and stop buttons, I agree, I'd prefer browser spacific-back/forward/stop/home/tools/........ to be together. OK, enough babble from the spacedcadt.
I don't know if anyone else has noticed this but relative to Firefox, IE7's tabs load slowly. When I open a new tab in FF, it opens and loads the page almost instantly. However, IE7 runs as if it's loading a new window.
I personally liked 6 and don't see any definite difference in 7.
I HATED it! I kept it installed for about 5 minutes before returing to IE-6! The configuration sucks, I was NOT impressed by any of the "new and improved" features, and overall I think it should be **** canned..
I have a 24'' Dell Monitor, with IE6 I have a nice clean toolbar, with everything I need, configured the way I want it, on one line. With Ie7 Its at least two lines or more the way they want it. Mocrosoft will lose Millions maybe billions of dollars. Alot of people will loose their jobs and will be standing on unemployemnt lines the way we want it.

IE7 reminds me of when we were Novell "zenned" at work, after all these years of folks d/loading space filling junk (read: WEBSHOTS). The clamp down was so severe that we couldn't even open the clock/calendar to check dates...
It's NEVER popular when you loose privileges, and IE7 is a perfect example of loosing the ability of having what I want, when and where i want it. I also used to have only one bar at the top, but finally relented (relaxed?) and now have two. I want what I want, and to be able to have what I want is going to take three, maybe more, tool bars in 7.
Microsoft needs to loosen IE7 up and let us personalize it like in IE6. I've been through the beta versions, tried them for a week or so, and then uninstalled them. I really did give it a chance, but I want my control back. MICROSOFT, please let go of the lock down a little. Then maybe I'll try it again.
of a "fanboy" not giving it a chance and spouting off. Use it 2 weeks instead of 5 minutes before you form an opinion.
What I like about Internet Explorer 7 is that it finally has tabs like Netscape.
Due to the wininet.dll bug and inability to uninstall IE6 I had to install IE7,
Otherwise it is difficult to update windows and office!
Downloaded & installed twice. Never could get it to run. Gave up & went back to Netscape.
Tried to install it on Windows XP three times today and the installation hung every time...even with my antivirus turned off. Had to use Task Manager to END TASK each time. Then Windows would not shut down. Not good. Back to Firefox.
I like the way the tabs work and I like the ability to zoom in and out on a page.

I don't like not having my favorites on the left all the time!!
But I am used to it now and like it. My husband hates it! He keeps forgetting where the refresh button is now and the favorites button...but he still has an 8 track in his car (not really!) But he would if he could.
Please see this thread: http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general/browse_thread/thread/724a5cf1400103fa/590f0d35b2e43d95?lnk=st&q=ie7%20go%20button&rnum=9&hl=en&
I tried Beta, RC, and now the final version. I still can't get IE7 to go to the URL's I typed into the Address Bar. It is like IE7 is not responding. I tried "Enter" key and "Go" button, nothing works. There is something wrong...but I have no idea what is wrong. I am not the only one who is having this problem. Anybody can help?
