Do I loose Podcasts if i go from itunes 7 to 6.5

by ozyman4269 - 10/30/06 2:16 AM

I Like the Look Feel and Lay out of ITunes 7 but I don't like what it does to my computer. BUGGY MUCH! Takes up all my processor and slows my computer to a crawl especially when downloading something.

so I didn't get into to podcasts until ITunes 7, so I don't remember what features associated with podcasts there were for 6.5 If I go back will I loose all my subscriptions? Can you DL podcasts with 6.5 and if not, can some one recommend a good program that will DL and Sync podcasts to my Ipod? (5G Vid 60GB)

Podcasts were available in iTunes long before iTunes 7. You should keep all your subscriptions but I would make a note of what you subscribe to before moving backwards.
Speaking of which, the latest iTunes is 7.0.1 which is supposed to have fixed a lot of the problems with the Windows version. Is that the version you are having the problems with?

Yes, your podcast subscriptions will become "loose", but I am not sure whether or not you will "lose" them. ;-)

Apple released an update to iTunes 7 today, at least for Mac, that fixed almost all of the bugs (yes, they were on Macs, too--pretty sad). I'd assume they released an update for Windows too. This might solve all your problems if you're lucky...
