There's a virus that does that, not saying you have the virus, just FYI.
Installation - 0 problems
Stability - 0 problems, better than IE6
Learning curve (new/changed stuff) - 15 min max.
What I like - Faster, cleaner, tabs, text resolution, improved zoom capabilities.
What I don't like - moved/changed my refresh button!
I hate it!!
I have installed and uninstalled 3 times, and now it won't open at all...I keep getting that ''Send Error Report'' message. ![]()
Do I really need Internet Explorer!???

I have an hp psc 1215 and I use Firefox which is far better than IE.
I downloaded IE7 just for curiousity. Since then the HP director didn't load.
When I unistalled HP7 it worked again.
My IE got to where it just froze. So, I downloaded Firefox...it interferred somewhat with some other programs, so I downloaded Opera. Then, I tried IE7. Man, I use HomeSite for my website and it went totally ballistic. I use WorldCast for sending out daily devotionals and it went ballistic as well.
So, I had to remove it, and that created a new set of problems.
I finally downloaded Avant, and even though it uses explorer...I'm a happy camper now, everything is working wonderfully well.
I just switched over today. I like the look but I don't know about the other stuff yet. I am not very computer savy so I don't like to clike a lot of buttons for fear I will screw things up. I am getting a little worried tho, after reading some of the other comments I am afraid I made a mistake switching. Anyone want to tell me there is nothing to be afraid of? Please!
Running fully undated XP/SP2. I downloaded the Yahoo version. Now my system is running at about 1/2 the speed it had before. Also I can not open attachments or run Program downloads. System tells me " Windows cannot access the specified device, path or field. What happens if I uninstall the Yahoo version?
Slowed things down to a slug's pace. When I uninstalled IE 7 it automatically went back to IE 6x.
Uninstall the Yahoo IE7 and install straight IE7 from Microsoft?
I wonder if Yahoo might somehow interfere...
i really am confused about the controls of the new ie i like the ie tabs but when i tried to open it just after i had installed the program and everything the stupid thing froze and i couldn't do anything until i used the task manager and ended the task. I'm really surprised im still using windows after all the failures microsoft has.
With version 6, I could right click on the left arrow icon at the top left corner of the screen and I would get a long list of previous screens. I could click on any item in the list to go all the way back to that point. With version 7, I have to keep clicking the "back" (left arrow) icon over and over and over again to go back many steps.
