My Toshiba DLP hates my laptop!

by gbedford - 10/23/06 4:41 PM

I have 56" Toshiba DLP (56HM165) rear projection. It looks amazing. I'm getting HD from my cable box and I love it. However, in my instruction book, it tells me to NEVER hook up a computer to it. I'd love to run some HD WMA files on my laptop and jack into one of the HDMI ports ( I have a DVI to HDMI adapter and DVI out on my notebook).

I have an xbox 360 hooked up to running at 720P and if I can hook video games to it, why not a computer? I figure I would be safe if I output at 1280 x 720.

If anyone could chime in on this, I'd truly appreciate it.

But I still hook my PC up to it watch HD WMA DVDs.
It should run OK at 720p from your laptop.
This warning it just CYA on the part of the companies.
A xbox is a computer!!! John
