Ipod 30GB vs. Creative Zen Vision W 30GB

Hi all-
I'm thinking of buying a MP3 player with a huge storge space, also would like to watch movies on it...
I don't know either i should get Ipod or get Creative Zen...dose anybody could give me some suggestions????

Zen vs iPod, wait for Zune

If I were you I would wait untill November 14th when the Zune comes out to compare, it also has 30gb, plays videos on a larger screen and has built in wifi, but if u need to buy one now, I'd get the Zen Vision because Creative is better known for their sound quality, and i believe the battery life is a little better

The Vision:M is the iPod lookalike and its better than it. The Vision:W is more of a PVP and has awesome video quality with a ginormous screen.

Get the Cowon A2!

Totally check into the Cowon A2. It sells on newegg for $300. It's got built in support for all the major codecs, you don't need extra software on the computer, it shows up as a thumb drive would. Drag and drop your music, videos, pics, and it handles the rest. It has a true 16x9 screen and can record from almost any source (voice, av inputs, fm radio). The best...read the reviews...

Vision:M is superior for Video

If you want to watch video, the ZVM is by far the better player. The screen is better (262k colors vs 65k) and plays higher resolution videos without any need to convert.

It can play divx and xvid files straight and gets an impressive 640x480 TV out resolution (compared to iPods 320x240 resolution).

The player also is selling at buy.com for just 215 when you use a 15 off 200 coupon (google "buy.com coupons").

If you do buy one, make sure to check epiZENter.net. There is a wealth of information waiting for you.

Depends

I used to say the Vision:M is hands down superior, but Apple's made some improvements to the new iPods that make things closer. Here's a quick comparison:

iPod advantages:
+Much thinner (more pocketable)
+Games
+Gapless playback
+Simpler integration with software and store
+80GB version has great battery life
+More accessories

Vision:M advantages:
+Better screen
+Better sound quality and custom EQ
+FM radio
+Voice recorder
+Supports all the popular video formats
+Nicer GUI
+More hand-friendly design

You just have to decide what's more important to you. If you think games are more important than a radio and voice recorder, or a thinner design is better than superior audio and video quality, go with the iPod. If vice versa, go with the Zen. I just bought a ZVM a week ago over the iPod because I love its GUI and I don't want to have to convert all my videos.
