Both of these cameras totally rock. But which would you prefer? The SD900 is about 100 dollars more but is it worth it?
I know the differences between the 2 i just want some opinions on why they prefer one over the other.
Personally i'm a fan of image stabilization so i'm going to go with the sd800is but what about you?
Both of these cameras were introduced only about 3 weeks ago.
I doubt that you will find them in the stores yet.
There is no reason to buy the SD900 over the SD800IS, unless you really have a need for a 10 megapixel camera instead of 7 megapixels camera.
In it favor, the SD800IS has image stabilization and a wide angle lens. The SD900 does not.
Here is a look at the specifications:

i work at best buy so i get to rip these bad boys out of the boxes as soon as we get them. we usually get the new stuff quick >.<
so far i LOVE the body on the 900 but i think i'd be happier with the 800, it just feels so light (not in a good way)
Just the wide angle and image stabilization around is worth it..no more narrow looking picture with cut offs and no more bluffing pictures when trying to shoot from a car of a nice building or cload, rainbow or just scenery.
