Sansa or Zune?

by David09sp - 10/15/06 9:15 PM

I am a bit undecisive. I have narrowed it down to either of the two. I hate ipod's, and stuck between the two: Sansa e280 and The Zune. I know the zune is bigger weighing 5.4 ounces, and the sansa alot lighter. I was just wondering would you even be able to feel the diffrence in your pocket? And sound quality of the e200 series is it all that good? I am just stuck undecided and need some help on deciding.

Comparing the Sansa to the Zune is like comparing a motorcycle to an automobile. The sansa is a flash player which is designed for portability. The Zune will be a hard drive based player which is designed to hold your entire music library, along with delivering multimedia like movies on a larger screen.

In iPod terms, The Sansa is the Nano and the Zune is the full sized iPod.

Finally, the Sansa works with every non Apple service, except the upcoming Microsoft music store. The Zune will only work with Microsoft store.

Since the Zune hasn't come out, reviews as to its sound quality are not yet available. The Sansa has good sound, I had the 270 and now have the 280R, Rhapsody version. They sound good and the R version works very well with Rhapsody. Very similar experience to the iPod/iTunes model.
