Hi All,
I was wondering if someone could help me figure out what the difference is between these to Samsung televisions is? (Besides the price). I'm definitely thinking about purchasing one but I can't seem to find any reviews that highlight what makes them different. Please help.
Thanks!!!!!!
I have been trying to figure that out to. There is ton of information on this model in the AVS forum (43 pages). Look at message number 2491 in this link.

I am leaning toward the Sony V2500(arriving in stores now), Sharp 46 due in Oct and then the Samsung as my third choice.
-4096D has cable card slot built in
-4095D has built-in NTSC/ATSC tuner - 4096D only has NTSC tuner (because of cable card slot)
-4096D has more input features - Audio x4, DVI x2
-4096D is about 10 pounds lighter
- Both have the same display capabilities - 6000:1 contrast ratio, 8ms response time, 1080p, 1920x1080 pixels
If you already have a hdtv/dvr cable box save yourself a couple hundred dollars and go with the 4095D. You can't tivo programs through a cable card. No built-in memory inputs to overcome this problem.
the 4096 has a USB port on the side, for use with thumb drives (jpg and mp3) and maybe more; the 4095 an S video port instead
Wiselink: A side-panel USB port allows you to connect a USB mass storage device to view JPEG files and play MP3 audio files. You have access to the following functions:
Photo (JPEG) List: This menu shows JPEG files and folders saved on the USB device and allows you to do the following:
View: You can view individual photos by selecting them from the thumbnail display.
Rotate: This feature allows you to rotate the selected image by 90°, 180°, or 270°.
Zoom: You can enlarge a picture 2x or 4x. Once the image is enlarged, you can move it around onscreen.
Slide Show: You can play files on the USB device in a slide show. You can adjust the slide show speed to Slow, Normal, or Fast. You can also choose an MP3 file on the USB device to play as background music during the slide show. The repeat function allows you to play the slide show again and again.
MP3 List: This menu shows MP3 files saved on the USB device and allows you to play them back.
That's the main difference.
