iRiver Clix!!! should i get and why?

by cagores - 9/25/06 5:27 PM

Hello, my name is Cristian and i have an olympus m:robe, the oldest one i know the 5 gigs is good but i wanted something more along the lines of the iRiver, but i am not yet convinced of getting it and if i should could you tell me why? i have read lots of reviews and i thought it was pretty kool. What's the deal with synchronization with prepaid programs? can you like download urge to your iRiver or something? I also needed to find a music service that i could use without having to download and prefered not to pay anything, because i do lots of traveling and i'm out of my house a lot so if i'm at a friend's house i would like to be able to download music from theit computer without having to download anything.
My last question is if you have iRiver Clix would you tell me how good and what other advantages it has?
Sincerely,
Big Boii
Oh, and thanks for your time!

Hey Cristian - I hope this gets to you before you've made your decision on a MP3 device. Let me tell you about the CLIX - you can do everything you discussed. I too am on the go and at times want to download songs from either my laptop or a friend’s computer. With the CLIX, I can plug into any windows XP computer and upload songs into my player. What's great is the time it takes to upload songs. I've heard and have witnessed other competitors units take FOREVER to upload a song or CD. With the CLIX - I can upload one song in 2 to 3 SECONDS!!! NO JOKE :) And a full CD (16 songs) in 30 to 40 SECONDS!!! It rocks the house! Now - lets look at the screen, its bigger than the competitors, supports album art, pictures, video, comes with flash games, supports text files to read, can listen to FM, has a built in recorder, built in alarm (with cradle support) and so much more. I'm sold - hope you are too.

Take care

I'm on the lookout for a new player too...

I looked at this and it looks pretty good. I'm considering the Creative Vision M because I want video too and want the ability to output to our minivan's video player. the Vision:M has music, picture, Outlook data, FM radio, etc. too if those things are important.
