I have the last 'black and white' iPod; a 40Gb 4th Gen Click Wheel model. A colour screen is nice and all, but really isn't necessary for the music, nor is the photo storage. Video does interest me, but until it can handle it right, i.e. support for more, common, video formats and a larger screen, then I'm not interested in shelling out for a half-cocked video-iPod.
The iPod is so good with the way it handles music I'm a little surprised how Apple are handling video. Early days I suppose (and hope).
I personally like the new ipod. I know it's physically the same as the old one, but the brighter screen and better battery life are good. The thing i like most is the new price of $250. The interface is also a little different too. I'm hopefully getting one for Christmas.
now i have a 1st generation 4GB nano, im hopefully getting a 30GB video for Christmas
3rd generation 40 gig. filled only 22 gig yet.
two problems i have with considering an iPod
one: price
seriously, why would you pay for a mp3 player that costs around 200 clams. not that i can't afford one, but hey. save up 800 and get a laptop that plays mp3's, run a gps and play unreal tournement ![]()
two: batteries are not user serviceable
ha ha, very funny, Apple. lets build a device that runs on batteries (that will fail in a few months) and make the batteries part of the machine in such a way to force the user to mail the unit in to get the batteries replaced. ![]()
I have the Fifth Gen 30 GB Ipod in Black! I love the sound and the ease of use. It is cavernous and I am thrilled with this gift! Thinking about getting one to give as a gift for Christmas.
I OWN AN iPOD U2 ITS TYTE...N HOT
It's very fortunate that the world has Apple. Steve Jobs is a mastermind that has developed the world's most advanced technology in computers and music/video. The Ipod is of course what every company compares itself to. Being the top of it's class in design and technology, no one has yet come close to matching the the superiority of this product. Apple computers also out-class all other computer brands in the world.
I have the newly remastered iPod nano. I just got it today to replace my original nano that I got when they first came out. Had to replace it today because it wouldn't turn off. That one replaced the iPod mini when the hard drive crashed. They are crap and if it weren't for Best Buy's great extended warranty, I would have given up on them a long time ago.
I have the U2 20 gig and just got the new U2 video there both great
5th gen 80gb black video ipod
