My daughter's LG VX3200 display has died and she needs the contacts that are on that phone. Is there a cost effective way to transfer them to her new VX8300 short of buying two sets of data cables and software? Is it even possible to transfer the information if I can't see the display?
What software came with the phone for interacting with a computer via infrared, bluetooth... ? Some phones camw with apps.ike "Phone Browser", e.g. Nokia, which enables you to view contents of the phones memory, make backups, edit, and transfer back to phone....
The only method for transfer seems to be via the phone's data port. This is an older model without bluetooth. It also appears that the 3200 and 8300 cannot use the same cable. I can buy two cables if necessary but would like to avoid the expense since the 3200 is unusable at this point.
... no blue tooth, display broken.
Are the contacts not saved at the SIM card which I suppose will be reused ? Try the shop which sold you the new phone. They, or a computer services shop, may be able to so something - at least they have better facilities like cables,...
