Response: dont look at her review, decide for yourself. Creativelabs.com then click on support. I think it is quite lengthy. Plus check out consumer to consumer service at epizenter.net
I don't have a creative player, but I must say that from the problem she cited, no one would be able to help her but Microsoft. If her pc has a problem no company is going to help her troubleshoot it except the pc company or Microsoft. They could be held liable for any advice they got that might "screw up" their pc. This is definitely not a description of bad customer service on Creatives part.
yea she said it could have been her pc's fault, she's not telling anyone that an mp3 provider neeeds to fix her pc :-P
I have to say, it's pretty hard to buy a good Mp3 player without at least photo viewer. I'm not a big fan of ipod but their new nano seems good. Creative also got competition for the with the Zen V plus. Both are tiny with photo.
Bigger memory mp3s normally have video players.
If those seem pricy and they are for the memory they give then i could go for different types of mp3s. Micro HD drives are pretty good but not very popular. the Creative Zen Photo does the job.
Good Luck
PS - both apple and creative has good support.
Can people help me find >bad< reviews for the following:

I'm having trouble especially finding reviews on the Sony NW-A1200. Help is extremely appreciated. Plus it would give people a chance to see more of what I'm looking into.
the new ipod mini is a great mp3 player, slick, and availible in many colors, with a superb battery life, and friendly software. And also the best navigation method- a touch scrollwheel.
For the amount of storage you get(4GB) it costs almost as much as one of sony's players (20GB), Ipods are expensive, and they have itunes.
how abt the iriver clix...the review suggest tht its prty gud and its also competitevely priced...
mkay let's get the basics down. I'm looking at a player with at least like 6-8GB. Plus compare the player I'm looking at; Sony Network Walkman NW-HD5 which for 200$ I get 20GB. It has no extra fuzz like pictures, video, etc... I want to listen to music, and it does that job very well with great sound quality, and amazing battery life. IRiver tends to get more expensive as you move up in capacity as well, which is the only reason I haven't looked into it. ![]()
I personally think that the new gen nano is the best mp3 player out there right now, although it doesnt have a built in fm tuner, which i would love, but if this is such a problem for you, my next choice would be the 6gb sansa e270, the only downside about it, is the wheel that doesnt feel very good.
I have had nothing but aggravation with the IPOD Shuffle. One has to have the patience of a saint or just be really stubborn and keep reading discussion posts to get the damn thing working. It will work ok for a week, then back to the same problems.
I would never buy an IPOD again, but am looking for a good alternative under $200.
Chip
Yes. I know what you mean. In general, I have read some serious horror stories on IPODs. The player I'm looking into goes exactly for 200, and thats for 20GB. What kind of Mp3 player are you looking for. I mean I need something thats up there in GB. You might not. I don't need fm radio, voice recording, video playback, etc.. I just want to listen to music.
List specifically what you want in an mp3 player, and I'll try and help you out.
well, I have a 2 gen nano and its awesome, so I think this is the best product out there right now, but if you dont like apple or whatever, I would definately buy the sansa e270, it s a great product the only downside about it is the "mechanic" wheel.
hope it helps.
Hey,
From what i understand all you want is a good quality stylish MP3 player which is not going to cost you an arm & a leg.
You really should have a look at the range of MP3 players from Zicplay - I recently bought a slidekey from Amazon and I am totally happy with it.
But they also have some thin MP3 players which are really good looking as well and packed with features and memory capacity
check them out & hope this helps

Seems this model should be carefully considered since one could end up without support.
