I have the adaware program and I keep getting the bargainbuddy report. I keep removing it but when I check my haed drive with the adaware program again, its there again.
I downloded the newest update a little while ago....so am going to recheck.
Can anyone tell me what other fee adware programs you recommend ,,, I tried spydoctor but after checking my hard drive it offered to remove the adware if I register and buy the program ...jeesh

Bargainbuddy was a FALSE POSITIVE and in the meantime there was already last week a revised update. Get the latest ad aware update and you should be fine.
I did update and I did rerun it...and so far BargainBuddy has not returned
Thanks!

The trial version, which only last 15 days, includes advertising. If you want it removed, you must pay.
responding to because the program he was advertising is also on Eric Howe's rogue product's list. Thanks for warning the orginal poster.

Spycatcher Express by Tenebril. This is their freeware version of a very good anti-spyware solution.

When I first tested SpyCatcher I had some problems with system performance and contacted customer service. The service I received was first class. The problem is this, you cannot use any other anti-spyware on the system or SpyCatcher does not get installed correctly. So I removed all other anti-spyware applications and reinstalled SpyCatcher, it works absolutely beautiful.
One thing I have found though is that when you install software I prefer to shut down the protector if it's a commercial retail product. What happens is that SpyCatcher flags a hook into the system when you are installing software. It does generate a popup that asks your permission and how to handle the install. It allows you to permit an install for a user selected period of time. By default it will block and you have to select the amount of time to allow and click a radio button to allow it. If you do not answer the question correctly it will mess up the install and SpyCatcher will continue to block that portion of the software. I had to do a system restore to install a software package that I did not answer the question correctly. It's a bit of a nuisance but it is for your protection.
You should definitely try Spybot Search and Destroy. Google, and a small download. Very good at blocking spyware and removing it if it does worm it's way through.
