Time warner 8300HD
by Rayvn67 - 8/31/06 9:41 PMI have 8300HD DVR from Time Warner Cable and I Read in the manual that this box has a wizerd that would set up your screen size for hdtv but the problem is that it;s not wroking. It's say the box should be off but still plug in and the tv on, than hold the gulid and info button on the box and then the wizerd would show up, but when I try it, it didnt work. So I'm Wondering dose anybody else have this problem or could help me.

The wizard will come up but nothing will happen unless on our system we have a firmware upgrade, which happens usally around 2am and your box automatically downloads it. SO basicly that wizard to you is useless. You should be able to go into settings and the hit A for more settings and select your aspect and output settings. I usally only have 1080i and 480p selected when I hook up a customer. Your tv should doo the rest. So if you have anymore question feel free to e-mail me bmichael2@wi.rr.com
