I bought a Canon DC100 before traveling abroad to record and take photos, but the mode I chose was VR and now I'm kinda frustraded because the dvd drive on my computer won't read the finalized dvd on that format, so I can't download the photos to my computer. If I open Nero/Roxio, it only lets me copy the disc, but that's it.
I would really appreciate if someone could help me with this issue and if you know of an external mac compatible dvd drive or internal pc dvd drive that would read mini dvds on VR mode, that would be awesome.
Thanks a lot
Some of the software from ulead.com works with VR modes. I don't expect PCs to work with such without additional software (which vendors won't tell you?) I see mention of Mac but little else so I'll just note the PC method.
Post in the Mac forum for a Mac solution.

If your Canon DVD camcorder came with Roxio My DVD you can read the VR files on the DVD and edit them if you wish making a DVD...with menus and such...then burn them back to the Mini DVD using the DVDcamcorder itself....
