Palm TX , via cell phone, via bluetooth headset?

by Genjinaro - 9/13/06 1:49 PM

What I want to know is, is there a cell phone (I'd prefer sprint, specifically the A900)that supports more than 1 simultaneous bluetooth connection so that I can make this type of call senario:

Me: Using PalmTX's dialer feature or the Quick connect feature to make a call via the bluetooth connection I made with my cell phone (this "cell phone" which happens to be clipped to my belt and untouched the entire time BTW)and hearing the bluetooth headset connect the call, right away.

If you know of a cell phone (I prefer sprint but any you know will be helpful too) that allows either 2 bluetooth connections or feedback from someone who has actually done this.

I want this set up soo bad, just to shut up my cousin who flawnts his Treo 700p like it burns his pocket lol.

I never did like it when people interupt me with calls on a smartphone while I was typing e-mails and surfing 'n whatnot.
I'd love to make a call and still browse on PDA's web, Addit, calendar, Docs to go, and check VersaMail "during the call", I'm a multi-tasker after all heh!

Help me plz!?

I don't think this is possible due to the fact that bluetooth only allows one connection at a time...

Bandwidth is a non-factor?

So you're saying bluetooth cell phones don't allow extra connections regardless of their bandwidth or by default any high-end BT cell phones (that's not a smartphone) does't have the bandwidth to support the connections?

So is Palm's Dialer, Useless??

A week and still no definate answer...
Man I guess no one uses this feature because I can't imagine holding a PDA (Palm TX) & a cell phone to dial up someone using the PDA's dialer rather than dialing from the phone they already have open.

So now I ask, is dialer even used for voice calls or is it an alternate way to use that SMS feature?

Dude, you can probably forget about using the dialer for anything too advanced. Essentially, the dialer is just an application to INITIATE a phone call from your TX. After that, you would have to physically take out your cell phone from your pocket to do anything else.

It's ok, i don't really like Treos that much anyways =) Especially since their screen is so small and they're kinda slow in my opinion

I hope this helps

I haven't tried it but let me know if you do.

Good luck.
