If you are asking whether there will be more computers with Vista installed than Leopard, I would think that would be pretty clear. Microsoft has a larger market share and the majority of Windows XP users will turn into Vista users eventually. Not to mention that there will probably be OSX users that install Vista on their Mac for use with bootcamp.
Now, if you rate success by user satisfaction, the answer to that is going to be much less clear and I don't think you'll ever get a satisfactory answer.
BTW, I am posting this using Vista RC1 and Firefox 2.0 Beta. I am not planning on installing Vista on a production machine until it's been out for at least a year, though. Maybe even longer if there are still security issues at that time. I only installed it on this machine because I do tech support for computers and I wanted to become familiar with the OS before I have to support it.
Wow, living dangerously are we?
...we dont need no stinking stable versions...
(of course if you waited for a stable version you would never use windows... and I still would be drafting by hand)
"will sony DRM technology become well-accepted with consumers?"
in my opinion, vista may catch on with its loyal fanbase, but with its delays and such...don't be suprised if more traffic goes to leopard
Well you know I think most people believe that DRM is a failure and that companies need to think of better protection to prevent people copying the file freely, yet I don't know really. How do you choose which one is better they are similar in some ways
In other news: the new iPods will sell more than any other DAP while there are some subtle and quiet rumours that PS3 is running into some troubles.
