I received the E06D7363 error many times running under 98SE, even after repeatedly installing and uninstalling the Linksys Utility Software. The method I used to get around the error was to simply remove the Linksys adapter card before I booted up. When I then received an error that the adapter card was not attached (10038 Socket Operation on non-Socket), I inserted the adapter card and waited a few seconds for the card to be recognized. I then restarted the Linksys Wireless-G Notebook Adapter Utility. My connection almost immediately came up. Hope this helps.
If anyone sees or hears from "SyscomCEO" - can you tell him I can send him the uninstall utility he asked for, but he needs to give me an email.
I asked for the utility, but didn't provide me with an email address.
Thanks.
Ty
I have used a Linksys wireless router for a year now and no problems. My old PC has a USB adaptor and my "new" PC has the PCI and works great. I have been using the notebook adaptor now for 6 months. No problems...until I changed the WEP key on the router. All my PC's switched without a hitch. My lap?....Couldn't connect for nothing. Went and bought another adaptor thinking the old one was bad. Same story. The new configuration ultility won't load, because I can't get rid of what I thought was an unistalled old configuration utility. Pisses me off. After reading the same story here, I'm taking the linksys notebook adapter back and getting a Netgear.
Good Afternoon, if you are still out there and have still got that uninstall utility program I could sure use it.

Running Windows 2000, and installed software for Linksys Wireless-G Notebook Adaptor, Model No. WPC54GS v1.1. Everytime I load the software and try to get association with an access point (i. e., hooked up to the net), I get "External Exception E06D7363". I have uninstalled and re-installed, and re-booted no less than 5 different times, and still the same result. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thans in advance.
Try only installing the DRIVER. I found on my HP, that when the utility was removed, and the driver was automatically installed, Under Add New Hardware, I was able to connect with ease.
