Mp3 with AAA battery

by slaha11 - 9/4/06 12:37 PM In reply to: MP3 player that takes AA or AAA batteries? by mil20

There are several actually, although their numbers are diminishing!
I too hate rechagable Li batteries because of the recharge problem while travelling.

The Napa, Logik, and Samsung YP-MT6x, YP-55v, YP-T6z (AA) uses normal battery.

Lyra RD1022A, 1028 etc

Check out the RCA flash players that can use SD cards. I've got the bottomest of the line, RD1022A (with only 64M of built-in flash), but it has worked really well for me. It takes one AA cell, which plays for probably 16 hours, and accepts SD memory cards (I've used 512M and 1 gig; don't know if it'll use 2 gig cards). So, you can take a few SD cards loaded with music, then erase them and use them in your digital camera.

I've also got a Sony CD Walkman that runs off one AA, and plays MP3s off recordable CDRs. It doesn't fit in a pocket like the RCA, but the media is very cheap, and if you buy any CDs you can listen to them on the road.

sandisk e100 series... logik???

by pbrouwer - 9/4/06 8:06 PM In reply to: MP3 player that takes AA or AAA batteries? by mil20

My sandisk player uses 1 AAA battery -- about 12 hours -- but I use rechargeables. Also, beware of Logik -- I've encountered 2 people that have had problems with that particular brand -- here's a tip -- look for a support website before you buy -- see what kinds of problems people have had.

I dropped my sandisk in a sink full of water one time -- I dried it with the blowdryer on the cool setting -- and it survived.

Use the RCA Lyra

The Rca Lyra models run off of conventional batteries (AAA to be specific) and they get better battery life.

great player. battery lasts forever and it takes a AAA. 128, 256, 512, or 1 gb of memory. I would suggest the 1 gb, if you were looking at the nano.
