Canon A510 lcd problem

by hugo65 - 9/2/06 5:09 AM

I need some advice regarding my Canon a510. I have owned this camera for about 18 months. When it is working correctly, it is a great camera. However, sporadically, no pattern, the lcd screen will not register in order to take a picture. It will show pictures taken, so I know it isn't broken. It appears to be a problem with the setting, but I cannot figure out which one. I have tried all sorts of combinations of button pushing. I have had it reset back to default. Any ideas?

I had similar problems with mine. I think it's the memory card. My present Lexar 512 MB seems to create these glitches. It works fine with the 16 MB MMC that came with the camera. Try using your MMC. Let me know how you make out.

I'm having similar problems with my new Canon A630. Did you figure out the problem with your digital camera? Was it a memory card problem?

Cheers,
