I use it because I have about 10 add-in's that I use all the time and need to use. Most, if not all, do not have versions for other browsers as of yet.
Firefox rocks: faster, safer, less cluttered, customizable, free, tabbed browsing and cool. Not to mention it is modern and almost fully supports today’s web standards, sorry IE but that’s what I think but I would give IE another chance if they stop their monopoly and start supporting web standards and doesn't use lousy Active X controls that can ruin your PC. But for now I use Firefox at home all the time but when I am not at home I am going to have to use IE.
My Opinion
Opera: Opera is great but there is too much cluttering the interface but the validation tool that lets you validate your webpages is terrific I wish Firefox and IE had that feature it wouldn't be that difficult.
Netscape: Poor Netscape it used to be great browser but now it seems that AOL has resurrected Netscape which was thought to be dead it just doesn't seem like the great Netscape it used to be, that’s why I love Firefox.
Internet Explorer: Although it is easy to use and user friendly it is old fashioned, dangerous and is a shocker at CSS support since I build websites so I would stay away. IE 7 is quite different I've noticed but Microsoft has lost the plot with the interface that's why I stopped using it (yeah I know it’s a beta) but it is almost finished but at least they are trying to produce a web browser that supports web standards and a browser that is not necessarily evil.
Please note: that this is my opinion so if you don't like it well that's just too baaad.
And by the way I use Firefox 1.5.0.6 with Thunderbird if you must know.
Nah, I'm just kidding; I use Firefox most of the time. Why? It was the only web browser that came with my operating system, and I haven't been bothered to try out Opera.
However, I *do* occasionally use Links2. I have Ubuntu running on an old computer which takes a long time to start Firefox. So instead I run Links2 in a window.
If I'm really really impatient to start surfing, I'll switch to a virtual terminal while the system is booting up, and run Links2 on the terminal. It understands some Javascript, uses the terminal mouse driver, and even renders images directly to the framebuffer. It's just like a GUI-based web browser, but without running X!
Because it is like having Firefox and Thunderbird all rolled into one program.
flock rocks it has features like
-easy blogging
-view your friends photos in a toolbar
-RSS
-easy searching
-and more!
and it's so sweet
I encourage everyone to give it a try
The extension are Great and you only need to add the ones you want. Firefox, is not locked into windows, it is a stand alone browser. Microsoft won't even let you delete the MSIE program from your computer, or even the Icon from the desktop. Last but not least, Mozilla/Firefox does an unbelievable job of eliminating pop up ads and other disturbances from interrupting your browsing. Why would anyone want Microsoft's browser?
I like Adium, it's so convenient and Adium for Mac can be used to all major messageres, including MSN Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, Google Talk, AIM, ICQ and Jabber.
With Adium, you can own so many IM devices.
Click this article, you can have a good impression.

Reasons? Security, Tabbed Browsing and extensions (SiteAdvisor, Groowe Search Toolbar, NoScript, Google Suggest, CustomizeGoogle). If I visit known secure sites sometimes I use K-meleon (recently updated to version 1.0) or Opera.
I can tell I'm in the extreme minority, but I like the blend of features in this version of Opera best (panels, closed windows revival, fit to screen button, window menu, and, of course, the ever-useful +/- zoom screen, and mouse gestures which I've loved since Opera 5). Somehow, when I tried to upgrade to the higher version, I lost some of my favorites.
2nd is firefox, but it's a rare thing -- my nephews use that more than I do!
I like the tabbing and the extensions which i find great.
Why bloat a programme, do the very basic and let people choose the add-ons...based on their interest....
they are starting to get the hang of it with this version
Maxthon is the best -- just as many extensions as Firefox, and more customizability (is that a word?)! Check it out: http://www.maxthon.com
