I use Mozilla 1.7.13. I have many extensions installed to augment its use for designing.
I use Avant Browser most of the time, it saves other websites that you were on and it is much faster than Internet Explorer.
Avant is faster than IE and doesn't crash like Firefox.
As a news junkie, I like the Live Bookmarks. I also like Tabs, and Shrink To Fit printing.
I use Firefox (1.5.0.6), of course. With all the add-ins, extensions, and the great interface, what's not to love?
Ever since I started using FF over a year ago I've never looked back. I love the tabs, the way you can customize almost everything how you want it and all those fantastic extensions. When you use tabs you get used to having heaps of pages open at any time, i find this impossible with IE6, plus whenever I have to use IE I am irritated by loads of ads I never normally see (thank you adblock). Most people using IE only do so because it comes with windows and and its what they are used to, they find it hard to try something new so they're using IE by default not choice.
I use internet explorer b/c it is on my computer and easy to use. I would love to explore some other browsers but I am concerned about messing up my computer w/ too many files, etc.

Everytime I try to use alternative resources, payment issues seem to occur.
Right now I am using live one as the resource to protect my computer. I don't know which of the alternative products to use, they seem to come up for payment every 3 months (not quite true but the issue seems true). Just for example, I paid for norton but it is inot installed, another program was installed. I am using AntiVir as another resouce. It is now popping us with the ''feed me money'' sign.
Although some browsers, such as Netscape and Opera, were sold for a profit in the beginning, most browsers are now distributed for free. There's nothing to lose by trying any of them, so I suggest you give it a shot and see what you're missing.
MSN Explorer was our msn dial-up browser. When we switched from dialup to dsl, we went with the phone company as an isp and the isp connects via IE.
MSN doesn't offer dsl as an ISP. But MSN explorer is so easy to use that we shifted our msn dialup account to a dsl convert account for a small fee- $10. We stilll have to connect initially thru the phone company isp but we use the msn account most of the time. We can still use IE via the dsl if we want, which we sometimes do..
The e-mail is so simple and is the easiest for us to use. MSN has backup dial-up anywhere in the US and elsewhere in the world. It is easy for us to use when we are on the road. And a piece of cake if we connect via wireless hi-speed or ethernet on the traveling laptop. They have good support. It may not be for everyone but it fits well with us.
Up until recently, I had no way with Firefox to keep bookmarks up to date on more than one computer. I use SyncToy to synchronize files between my two, and IE was the only browser that allowed me to keep those synced too. Firfox stores its bookmarks as a single html file, and SyncToy won't sync the contents of files, just the whole file.
Anybody use the Avant browser?
Avant 11.0 is a nice IE shell. Everything
works quickly and smoothly. Since it has
an IE core, all pages are rendered properly.
The tab features are available as well
as add ons like the Google toolbar. It's
a nice browser and better then IE7.
i use avant and love it
i like beta internet explorer 7it seems too work pretty good.
