The E-50 would be a great match but look at the size of the box. The E-10 was a good choice because it was only about 5'' deep and tight against the wall. I think the E-50 might be a little overkill myself but fine if you have the room. You also might consider the E-20 or E-30. Both a good match and have the same tweeter. Remember that all these JBL Northridge's might tend to sound a little bright depending on your ears, especially on movies that many times have exagerated highs. Toning down the treble or using the movie sound setting (if your receiver has one) might help.

went for the better tv got the panasonic th 42px6u from sams for $2150 the picture is GREAT with a $60 dvd player(klh)and rca jacks(el cheapo).hooked to my 15+ year old sony str- d615, old pioneer csg-703 speakers also 15+ years old, soud was also seemingly upgraded? but it sounds really good !! even sd pic is pretty good also hooked to rca jacks cant wait to get new stereo this week and have true surround !i just never felt that comfortable with vizio.and the general concencus seems to be panny is one of the better brands so i said what the H##L you only live once!i ended up getting the e-20s,because i think for the money should be the same or better then e-10's?anyway cant wait to set it all up and see what it sounds like!! and get some decent hdmi and component cables, also need some idea for a dvd to add what are the thoughts on a dvd recorer?are the dvd recorders that have tivo like functions worth the money(i would like to record off sat signal, anyways thanks for all the advice.time to watch the incredibles!
...on the Panasonic 6U. It is exactly the same as the 60U except without front panel jacks and the photo SD card slot (no big deal).
I have never used a Tivo and only have regular cable. We have two Panasonic DVR's. One is a plain DVD model and the other has a hard drive in it. Both are great. My wife uses a Panasonic DVD-RAM in a cartridge that records on both sides for her daily Japanese news show and she never has to touch the disc.
I have the hard drive unit and love it. Many times I just use DVD-R discs because they are so cheap when on buy two get one free at Costco (.20 each). Once you use the hard drive you won't want to record on discs for time shifting. I also dub old S-VHS tapes to DVD-R. We use both of them for DVD-movies and CD music playback. The quality is excellent. My only complaint is the TV Guide feature which is not very intuitive to me.
The JBL E20's are bookshelf speakers so I don't think they have a keyhole for wall mounting but you can use a bracket or whatever. They have a slightly larger mid/bass driver than the E10 so they will go a little lower.
Be sure you set all your speakers in the Pioneer receiver setup menu to ''small.'' I would crossover (to the sub) the E80's at 80Hz, the EC35 at 90Hz and the E20 at 100Hz to start.

If it's not too late, I urge you to check out Polk Audio speakers.
I almost bought jbl northridge spearkers, but after doing a ton of research, I decided to go with Polk Audio for my speaker set up, and SVS for my sub, to go along with my Onkyo tx-sr603x receiver, and my system is truly amazing, and cost me around $700.00 (speakers & sub).
Polk speakers are well-built, they have excellent customer support, & very active & informative user forums.
JBL's home speakers can't & don't compare to Polk for clarity, punch & overall sound quality, and SVS simply make the best subs in the world.
JBL's pro audio speaker systems are legendary, proably the finest in the world, but the home stuff, well, it will sound good, until you hear Polks.
SVS is internet only, so I bought mine soley based on reviews-best decision I've made. The svs pb-10 was $429.00, and it goes below 20Hz and literally shakes my house. And that's their entry level sub! If you call or email them, they'll ask for your room dimensions & suggest an appropiate sub for you, and, they WON'T oversell you. They're customer support is the best I've ever seen anywhere.
HSU reseach make great subs, too.

The last url is a comparison/review of an svs pb10, the jbl E150P, a Velodyne, and an Infinity. Worth reading.
Best of luck to you!
I am life long customer of Pioneer, but no more. I purchased the Pioneer VSX-1016TX and had the sound quit on me. Find, it happens right? The system is only 5 months old. What kills me is that is takes up to 10 weeks to get the reciever fixed. And then who knows if it will work right. Seems to me that Pioneer has gone for profit on it's brand name at the expense of the loyal customer. Not impressed with this system. I am thinking of Denon. Like their speakers. I will have to try their receivers out.
REPLACEMENTS; ONKYO TX-SR605, YAMAHA, or a SONY ES.
I had nothing but problems with my PIONEER products, which is I choose a PANASONIC plasma over the new 5080TV.
Best of luck;
RIVERLEDGE.
Not sure where you are located but last week I picked up a Sony KDS-R50XBR1 50 inch SXRD TV from Best Buy who matched the $1780 price at www.bestpricecamers.com (down from $2699)plus a Denon AVR 2807 at $687 priced matched from www.dealznet.com (down from $1099)to go along with my Denon 1920 DVD player. Both are brand new...not refurb or floor models. I realize the TV has been discontinued but from what I read and the price I payed......you can't go wrong. Best Buy threw in $150 gift card which they are mailing to me.
Good luck haggling
John
