Backup problem with Quicken 99

by joco69 - 8/17/06 7:16 PM

I used to backup my Quicken 99 data under W98 on my old laptop to a diskette. My new laptop under XP only has CD drive and the programme refuses to backup to drive E which is the CD drive. It wants to backup to drive C which was the old diskette drive on the previous laptop. Any ideas how to change this situation?

Until you update the software, get one of these.

Some reported success if an USB Memory Key was set to A:, but not everyone can do that.

The CDRW backup appears to fail. No fix known.

Some other possible solutions

1) why don't u try online backup ?
u could create image from ur old pc and then use it in new laptop, what do u think?
2) or use USB flash drives.
u'll need some backup software, i'd recommend Acronis True Image.
post back about results please.
