I have a Fujitsu C Series Lifebook. Atleast 4 years old. Only has total of 20 gigabytes of storage. I'm running Windows XP. SP 2. It's on a wi fi home network. Last night I checked the storage on my C drive. I was down to 280 megabytes. I didn't download anything. Didn't install anything. The next night my storage was down to 140 megabytes. Happens a lot. What happened to my storage?! Please help. Obviously straped for storage space.
System Restore, automatic updates, browser caches and the list goes on and on will eat drive space. After this many years you learn how to reclaim some of that space or at least cleanup.

For the moment, you need to get back your HD space quickly: Try disk cleanup - Open up "My Computer", right click the drive ->Properties,then click "Disk Cleanup" - check the appropriate boxes. Try also the 'More Options" tab. then scan for viruses and parasites, including spywares, ad-wares and other malwares..... Tomorrow, see whether disk space still get smaller.
