Storage: 2.5" HD enclosure not recognized
2.5" HD enclosure not recognized
by ITrogue - 8/15/06 12:29 PMI just bought the Norwood Micro 2.5 enclosure and it doesn't show up at all. the drive spins up, but Disk Management shows nothing. I have searched through the forums and found some similar instances, but the fixes involved either plugging in the power cords, formatting the drive, etc. None of them were really pertinent for me.
I have tried this on my Dell latitude D820, Dual Core, 1gb ram, etc. I also tried this on my D810 with the same results. The only drivers included were for 98SE.

HD model number?
Using USB, Firewire, other connection?
What XP version? XP, XP(SP1), XP(SP2)?
Using latest motherboard drivers for your computers?
Did you try the rear USB ports on a desktop and not just the front USB ports?
