seriously, IS IT WORTH IT TO SPEND $300 ON SOMETHING TO LISTEN TO MUSIC. some thing with only one or two **********.
One survey said that quite alot of kids and teens listen to there ipod every time they get. So for them yes. Personally I think something like this http://reviews.cnet.com/Archos_AV500_Mobile_DVR_100GB/4505-6499_7-31552040.html?tag=pdtl-list is a better investment, but that is just me.
that's why i spend $250 on music, movie, photo, radio, voice recording.
Some of us have a deep passion for music, such as myself. I like to have music with me whenever, however possible. A player lets me do just that. If I have to pay a little more for what i love, so be it.
That is my point. If music is your passion yes. I like to listen to music but don't love to. Thus dishing out $250, but when you think that for $500 you can get something that has larger hard drive and screen, thus making it more video based, I would say go for this.

If you want to pay $300, pay a little more and get something much better. On the other had If you love music get and ipod.
The music the "book" was listening to and the circumstances he was in would make this a good idea.

My personal preference is a Buslink 7" portable dvd player that plays almost everything for about $100.
A music junkie that caries his DAP everywhere for instant entertainment, so yes it was worth the $300.
