XP Pro - XP Pro - XP Pro.
I'm looking at the same PC. Would you be considering the Windows Media edition? Any big cons against the Media Edition vs. XP Pro?
Is a pice of cr@p. Mac OS X 10.4 will blow it away. John
As always the question must be asked, do we need Vista or do we just want it?
Is there something Vista can do that is a critical need not met by your Mac?
I won't switch to Vista so long as XP meets my needs and certainly I'll not switch until a Vista service pack 1 or 2 comes along.
If your current set-up has a monitor you can use on a PC, you should be able to buy a PC for $350 or so to meet your need for a Windows machine. Then, when Vista is really ready, buy a new PC with all the bells and whistles promised by Vista.
Vista is supposed to be better because it will be faster, with better graphics, and greater stability -- but isn't that what ''they'' told us XP would do?
Happy Computing~!
Why, what do you hope to gain?????
An OS (XP) that is an easy target for hackers and viruses and spyware???
Vista ( A rose by any other name would still have thorns). M$ dosen't know how to make and OS!! It takes them until SP1 or SP2 to get kinda working!!!!
If your not sure by a MAC Mini, then buy a copy of XP and dual boot it so you can compaire MAc OS X 10.4 to XP.
The Mac Mini will blow the that Dell thing away. John
