When I use SUPERAntispyware and it reaches a filename containing letters "RUNDLL32.EXE" and some of letters and number. But when I used other anti-spyware programs such as Ad-aware and Spybot S&D it doesn't stop or cause problems.
Hi,
I would suggest to also do an online scan at one or all of these.
Please run the Housecall online virus scan located at:
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/start_corp.asp
Follow the prompts to scan your hard drive for viruses. Select the "Autoclean" option so that Housecall will remove any viruses from your system.
When the scan is finished, please restart your computer.
Then please run the Panda scan here:
http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/acti...n_principal.htm
Choose to "Disinfect automatically," and follow the prompts. Delete any viruses found, and restart your computer.
Finally, please run the WindowSecurity trojan scan here:
http://www.windowsecurity.com/trojanscan/
Remove any trojans found, and restart your computer.
Do the scans come up clean??
I have Pc-cillin internet security 2006 in my computer, updated all necessary features enabled. If I scan the RUNDLL32.EXE thingies in the windows/prefetch using pc-cillin, would it do some help?
the "the RUNDLL32.EXE thingies" via an upload to:

You'll find it about 2/3rds way down page (list is alphabetical). It may have downloaded further troubles so Marianna's online scan is a good idea. G'Luck! ![]()
I just followed your link and at the bottom it list Super Antispyware among the acceptable software. But CilyPudi hears you. Brett Kitchens remembers a few months ago it was listed as rogue, and I know it was because I downloaded it back then. It did not have an uninstall program, so I tried to delete the .exe file. It resisted deletion just like a trojan. Others also reported this at that time. There was no pay or Pro version then.
I guess they must have cleaned up their act. I will try it again
Hello all - SUPERAntiSpyware, nor any version of it, was EVER on ANY Rogue list. There are other products that have the name "super" in them - our software is SUPERAntiSpyware, SUPERAdBlocker and SUPERFileRecover.
Those products have never been on any rogue list.

I have heard great things about Superantispyware (free) as well as Counterspyware (30 day free trial) and have used them both as I just acquired a new PC with a new security suite installed on it before I got it home. I wanted free backup for my security suite and these 2 always came out WAY, WAY ahead of all the others all over the Internet.
So, I tried them (as well as many others) and all Superantispyware ever found was tracking cookies which is FINE with me. Don't want them. But what really, really turns me off about it (and a couple of the others) was it then forces me to do a "restart". Why on earth should that be necessary? What an imposition. Heck, my security suite (ESET - Nod32) has yet to force me to do one and when I had my old XP and used to use Ad-aware or Spybot for tracking cookies, they never forced a "restart". What a bother. What
s up with this "forced restart" business? Anybody here know as I would like to understand. Open to ALL suggestions for free ESET Nod32 & Vista Premium Home (32 bit) compatible freeware for data miners/tracking cookies and antispyware.
I understand from everything I've read (extensively) that one can only have just one anti-virus program but tons of antispyware. Not fair!!!
All I want is compatible freeware that is user-friendly (and not one of the kabillion rogue programs out there) to enhance and complement my ESET Security Suite. I don't have any confidence in Windows Defender which has to run all the time anyway. I need a program I can run and then shut off.
Was quite happy that Superantispyware did find tracking cookies but not happy about the forced restarts. Something they should do away with I think. Nice little program with a great reputation and Vista compatible to boot. ![]()
Super Spyware Remover Listed at site. I sincerely regret the confusion! ![]()
