So can anyone tell me why Cingular dropped the Sony Ericsson w600i so mysteriously? I have been shopping for weeks, decided that this was the phone for me, went to my local Cingular store, stood BY THE DISPLAY MODEL and asked for the phone, and the salesguy got all nervous as if i'd asked for drugs or something. What gives?
I was visiting from relatives in another state last month and I went to cingular to get another w600i at my discount price, I asked to get it and they said that the phone was sold out. That was a normal answer but then I was told that they have to be ordered from the sony site. Whyy?? I have no idea why cingular doesn' carry it anymore but it has something to do with high demand. At least, that's what I was told. They still have them on display but nobody has them anymore. Get in Cingular's face about it. If you want it, you can buy the phone with a new plan online.
Word is that the W810i is replacing it but no word when it will be available. No idea of price.
the companies may have parted ways due to a fault in the the contract a dissagerement about money or just some nonsence
If that were the case, why does Cingular still sell Sony Ericsson handsets??
