It is not an easy question as it is vague and there are a few hundred brands of speakers over a wide price range.
It would really be worth your while to spend at least a couple hours looking over speaker related threads in this forum. The info goes on and on....

I have a 14 set of Bowers & Wilkins speakers for my home theatre system, and consider myself a 'picky audio critic' for sound quality. While these are not in the same league they are very clear, with lots of base, and very good range. Don't go crazy for computer speakers pick up a set of these. 3.5 out of 5. Very good speakers!
