MXM questions

by Shadow900 - 8/3/06 4:22 PM

How can I tell if a laptop has a MXM card (more than checking if it's a nVidia card)?

Hi. I suggest you download Everest Home. It will tell you more about your ststem than you thought possible, (Including product keys)and it's free.

...I don't have a laptop yet, I'm trying to figure out which one to get so I can upgrade the graphics later.

Forget the upgrade

Forget this idea.

The cooling system of the laptop is appropriate for your stock GPU. Exemple : if you have an ATi Mobility Radeon X1400, you cannot upgrade for a X1600 because this last GPU heats more.

More powerful = more heat dissipation

The cooling system isn't appropriated. It will overheat the system.
