Forgive me if this topic has been taken up here already, but there has been a lack of balance with regards to the reporting about Google products. We always hear, with great fanfare, about the new stuff Google is rolling out and how it's a big threat to whatever company currently has the dominant position in that product category. What I haven't heard is a realistic report on how poorly Google products have done. They are the king in search and on-line advertising. No doubt about that, but their other products lines have done poorly. Google Talk, Google Video, Google Calender, etc... I would really like to hear an analysis from the Buzz Out Loud crew about that. A good reference is the Business Week article from earlier this month:
