I need help...
After formating and loading WinXPSP2 with all updates, my IBM x31 crashes with a blue screen error:
"Page_fault_in_nonpaged_area", followed by "0x00000050" (0xC0D0B3C8, 0x00000000, 0x0804E70D5, 0x00000000)
The last time it happened I was running AntiVir. I have been battling to get this laptop stable on and off for over a month. With periodic success. I have looked at everything I can think of - Using UBCD, Drive Tests, AntiVirus, etc, etc.
I have no idea how to solve the problem, or what is causing it.
Any help at all would be great.
If the 0x numbers are always the same, you have faulty memory chips.
You could also download the program memtest86 and let it run overnight to find out a bit quicker whether or not you have bad memory.
What if the 0x numbers are not the same?
did you also install all the IBM x31 drivers such as chipset AND Lenovo's Windows install supplements?

i have a intel original D-101 board with 2.0 GHZ
512 mb DDR Ram
windows XP Pro with SP 2
recuntly i repartition my HDD and install xp pro, after format all partiotion and copy all necessary xp setup file in hdd and when pc display restart machine, after restart to setup win xp pc display error
"A Problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to your computer
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA"
please help me for solution of this error.
