Well, we ( as in my family) just moved. We are intrested to purchase a new tv. The tv's we had back home were all 20-32 inches that we purchased a while ago. Now my mom says that she would want something nice like a plasma tv while im saying I want a Big screen tv. I don't have alot of knowlege of tv's or audio. But can somone please tell me what are the ups and downs of plasma tv's. On the other hand my dad wants it feel like hes in a theater watching a movie. So i guess he would want something like surround sound. I definatley dont want them to go in future shop and ask the guy ' i want a tv that makes me feel like im in a theater.' Oh yeah and i almost forgot i have no idea how big the room is where the tv is going to be in, im currently staying at my relatives so... please give me your advice. I also dont want my parents to spend too much money on this.
you opened.
There are a gazillion opinions and options on the new TVs. And if anyone else chimes in, you'll hear them. For what you're asking you really need to go shopping.
I have five HD TVs; one 55'' rear projection CRT and four LCDs from 17'' to 32''. They fit my needs and my room sizes. Plasmas are noted for their brightness, but LCDs are excellent. RP TVs include CRT, LCD, LCoS, and DLP. I'll let you look them up.
Go look at them.
What are the ups and downs of a plasma tv and a big screen tv. generally talking...
FIRST you have to see the room; and make some measurements. You also need to state your working budget, so we can help you narrow down your search and choices. There are SO many right yet.
