You guys mentioned at the end of the show that people wanted older BOL episodes. Well, in March when I first started listening to BOL, I went to Odeo and downloaded every single episode of BOL. All I did was download the M3U file from Odeo, imported that into a download manager and let it go overnight. That must have hurt cnet's servers. Maybe I'm the reason why the bosses yelled at Veronica. But I listened to them all and enjoyed every one of them! By the way, all the episodes still seem to be on Cnet's severs.
What about using archive.org to put all the ''old'' podcasts up for download. As I remember from a an interview of some one from archive.org they wanted people to put up podcasts and anything else. No worry about size limits as I remember from the interview. I don't know about copyright issues that CNET might have with.
If CNET seeded the torrent and you used the popularity of the podcast to help distribute that could be an option. Takes the strain of the servers and given the dedicated listeners of the show I'm sure propagation wouldn't be a problem.
