Thinking of buying canon a620 wondering if after you take a pic can you zoom the pic in and take another one from that pic Some sony cameras have this

I don't think the A620 does that.

It would be similar to using digital zoom.

I don't see it as important, because the same thing can be done by using software to crop the photo.

thanx for the reply. this will be my first dig camera purchase and i'm not sure what to look for
My interest in it is to take pics of my kids playing sports and general use. Is the a620 suitable?

Consumer Reports magazine rated the A620 as the top small digital camera.

It has a very sharp lens, a low shutter lag (that's good) and offers a lot of camera for the money.

Owner's of the A620 rate the camera very high.

It has lots of features, but don't try to learn them all at once (you can't).
Just put the camera in "Auto" mode and enjoy.
You can learn about all the features in your own time.
