New to PDA's

by shadowhywind - 7/15/06 10:34 AM

OK...bear with me. I am a personal assistant to an extremely busy family and I have always used pen and paper to organize. I want to get into the 21st century and begin using a pda. This is what I need...I have a mobile phone so that isn't required in the device. I need to be able to get my Outlook email, Excel, Word, GPS and a long battery life. What would you suggest is best for me? Thanks!

Sue

It's not a PC. Battery life is about 4 to more years. My IIIc still takes a charge and lasts about a week of PDA use. It used to run 10 hours plus when left on, now about 5. I expect my new Palm TX to get about the same life from the battery.

The Garmin was noted as well. If you don't get a PDA with GPS, beware that you want to move to the top end of the PDA speed scale.
