hmm, NO

Windows' Kernel was written from scratch on C++, because all the UNIX code MS owned was sold to SCO. BillG wanted to depart from unix, I don't know why, But Windows/DOS is closer to CP/M than UNIX

Another reason for . . .

A removable HDD on the 360? Plug one of these in, update your Dashboard, and suddenly, even more of a media tie in with the 360 and everything else.

Take it a few steps farther, perhaps developers would start including game soundtracks as playable files for the new Argo, tie the 360 Dashboard into Urge, etc.

Opening MP3 market . . .

by frank1220 - 7/11/06 8:30 AM In reply to: Another reason for . . . by frank1220

And to take it another step, perhaps open the Portable Audio Device Market to people who don't own a PC?

Post 21 of 29

Also good idea!

maybe as a backup or something, because realisticly, who is gonna have xbox live with 360 but no computer? it may be an interesting service to have tho.

On device music store

Who needs Rhapsody? Make one we can download directly from the device. Example: While waiting for the bus, I want to download American Idiot from Green Day. Using the nearby WiFi, I go to an Microsoft On Demand store on the player, and wala! I now have Green Day on my Zune! Who needs the PC?

They should call it the "PXP." Portable Xbox Player (joking)

by alanzzzzzzzzzz - 7/12/06 1:14 PM In reply to: NAME UPDATE: ZUNE by robstak

That sounds better than Zune. Of course it isn't final, but geez luiz!

I hate the thought saying, "Happy Birthday! I got you the new Zune!"

Slips right off your tongue and into the toilet if you ask me.

All the good designs are taken!

I still want whole screen on front, tactile buttons on back.

Post 29 of 29

I don't think so.

What you said reminds me of the time IBM said that all good inventions have already been invented. Just like TMV, I think it's sad when such a company says such horrible words.
