I have a few domains, and open-ended e-mail accounts for each. I can receive e-mail to any address at the domain. The mail server that hosts my mail automatically de-spams it, so I usually have a fresh clean download, minus a few false negatives. However, one technique used for spamming, ie. when the spammer sends the e-mail with a forged 'From' header that says it's from some address at one of my domains, is causing my inbox to triple lately, and not with SPAM, but with messages that are bounced from non-spammers. The messages are legitimate, and well-intended (To get their addresses off of the spammers' list), but their purpose is not being met. The bounced mail is coming to me, not to the spammer. Seems to defeat the whole purpose, if you ask me.
