has anyone here picked up the new ds lite? man, i'm loving mines. i picked one up yesterday w/ the new super mario bros game. ahh.. good ol'memories!! ![]()
I'm still sticking with my beautiful PSP.
...But I won't start that argument again.
I bought mine Sunday morning when one of my local EB Games opened; preorder. I love it. I also bought NSMB, and have been playing it a fair amount, world 5 already. Is it just me or is it pretty easy. VERY fun though. I also love the new screen. It's great. great. great.
Same game too. I'm on World 4 though. I'm actually kind of frustrated with it already. Should've gotten Mariokart while I was there too. Did you guys get screen protectors? I was going to but it doesn't look like it'll scratch that easily
And Evan, don't knock it until you try it!
Don't use them. They came in a starter pack i got, which came with cases, extra styli (correct pluralization?), etc. I don't think i need the screen protectors, but might end up putting them on.
I got one this Monday since my county in New Jersey has a strange law of closing all retail stores on Sunday. Anyway, I got a free Brain Age game with mine and playing it ever since. Any suggestions on which game I should get next? Mario Kart? Mario Mario Brothers? Ektoplankton? Metroid Prime Hunters? Oh.. Can someone explain to me what Animal Crossing game is about?
Animal crossing is a virtual life game where your are a person who moves into a town full of talking animals and you have a house, pay bills, do different things every day. And there's always something new every day in the game because it uses the DS's internal clock to sync with the events. It is addicting, and a great game. But if you're not a fan of that type of virtual life game.. You won't like animal crossing...
i got animal crossing yesterday. i'm having a hard time getting into it! but i'll give it more time. ![]()
I am seriously thinking of picking one of these things up (DS Lite) and for the prime reason of Animal Crossing and the Brain games that are out.
Nintendo came out a bit late for me so I never really got into the console thing, but my youngest sibling had one growing up and I landed up buying a Gamecube for my neices and nephews when they visit and I've played a fair bit of Mario Party now. But all my handheld gaming was pretty much non existent except for Worms on my ipaq or Tetris.
I'm seriously interested if anyone has any opinion on Animal Crossing and the Brain Games. My buddy loves Animal Crossing and it looks kinda neat. These things are cheap.
So besides those games I listed, any others that are really worth it?
please help me im not teh newest person to animal crossing but i still carnt find teh turnip seller anywhere please help em (i think shes suposed to coem on a sunday xx )
love it!!! very addicted to this game. Have played this on the game boy, game cube now dsl. Love it!! Just dont know how to get the music I miss that but all else is great!!
the colours on the DS lite are sooooo deep and extreme. If you play a game like mario card, some of the colours are soooo "deep and heavy" that they don't look right. I think nintendo was over compensating for the original DS's lack of colour, by making the games in a heavy contrast so that the appeared "normal" on the original screens.
oh, and the speakers are weaker than the original DS, which kinda bummed me out..

PS.. But i still love mine, i'm so glad i got it. =)
hey im in the UK and the DS Lite dosent come out until the 23rd june [damn :-(] but lol what colour do you think is best? im not quite sure between black or silver.....
I wish we could have that problem! (at a reasonable price) To the best of my knowledge, only the white version is coming out in North America!
