Can someone explain why the pricing of this this Sony pc varies so much. I have seen $3999.00 at a store to $2548.00 on WEB. Is it safe to buy this product on internet ?

Sony may not honor manufacturer warranty

if you buy from an unauthorized dealer (which many of these on-line retailers are, that's why they sell so cheap). Therefore, you are forced to buy the retailers warranty for extra bucks, but who knows how good that is.

This is a great TV. I have had mine for about 6 months now and could not be happier. Picture is simply awesome. HD programming is stunning and regular digital channels are very good. DVDs are incredible. Only complaint is that picture degrades if you stand up and move around. But once seated anywhere in the room (within the proper viewing angles) the picture beats any TV and any of the plasma, DLP, LCD, HILA etc..
