I'll look in to that when I return from the eBay Live! confab. I'll be in Lost Wages for that dance until 6/16. Back atcha' when I return and can give the VIRTUAL DUB a look-see.

Temporarily move the offending clip so it is processed first. If it still hangs in the same place, the clip is bad. If not, the software may be the source of the problem.
Some software doesn't properly release memory. That appeared to be the problem in earlier versions of Sony Vegas. When memory runs out, the system hangs. You could try rendering in smaller chunks. Then reassemble the smaller number of files.
Thanks, Kiddpeat.
I'd used Cyberlink's Power Producer 4 (part of the DVD Suite 5) for about 6 months with no problems. Then, with no apparent explaination, the program would freeze while processing/burning avi to DVD. Turned out all that was needed was an update fix that can be found at http://www.cyberlink.com/multi/download/dl_patch_375_3_ENU.html . Works just fine again - although I have to reinstall the update from time to time. I'm guessing it has something to do with good old Microsoft Windows Update.
