Which version of McAfee are you using? The online scanner or do you have McAfee installed? If installed, which version, scan engine and virus definitions are you using? (RIGHT click on the McAfee shield or the red "M" in the lower right corner, choose "Virus Scan-About" and tell us the version/build number, the scan engine number and the virus definition number.) Have you tried changing McAfee so it scans "default files" instead of "All Files"?
If you've got another antivirus installed on the machine, it's not a good idea. That tend to conflict with each other. Choose the antivirus program you like and uninstall the other.
