My Toshiba laptop that is about 3 years old died again. This is the third time the processor has burned out. The hard drive is okay but the laptop won't power up. Is there anyway to get the info from the hard drive onto another computer or disks. My husband thinks there must be an adapter to hook the laptop to the desktop computer and get the info.
Can anyone help? I'm at work right now and don't have the model number. It was running WinXP.
Thanks.
2 adapters noted at http://reviews.cnet.com/5208-7813-0.html?forumID=26&threadID=179468&messageID=1967248
You can also find USB cases for same drive.
Bob
Thanks for the link. My laptop is a Toshiba 2405-S201 and hard drive is HDD 2169 D.
I will see if any of the suggestions you pointed me to will work.
Thanks again.
