I'm thinking of upgrading my iPod Mini. My two choices are the iPod Video 30GB or the Sony PSP. Could you give me some advice?
Do you want to do with it? If its primarily a media device(movies, music..etc) I'd go with Ipod Video for sure. If you want to play some l337 games, and maybe have some songs and a movie on the side, then go with a PSP and 2/4GB memory card.
This really depends on what you're looking at. The most memory you can get out of a psp is 4gb. Also, the psp doesn't come with a hard drive or flash card, so expect to spend more money after you get the psp. 2gb memory sticks cost around 70$. Also, that's not really a lot of memory. 4gb isn't really enough for video and music, in my opinion. The ipod video has a lot more memory than that. But still I don't think you should get an ipod video. There are other mp3 players out there with video that have all the features of the ipod video and more. One example is the zen vision m. Archos makes some good products too.
If you want to be able to sit back and watch a movie, the PSP screen beyond surpasses the ipod screen. The PSP is widescreen, and the lcd looks just plain amazing, the ipod's does too of course but isnt nearly as big.. and isnt WIDESCREEN.
The biggest limitation to the PSP is either buying movies on UMD, or getting a couple memory cards to store video files on. You can also get external hard drives that attatch to the PSP that give you much more available storage space.
Overall I think the PSP is the way to go. But if you don't care how the movies look (no point in watching tiny movies to me) then the ipod would be the choice given its large internal memory.
Strongly recommend Super video to iPod Converter, The No.1 video to iPod Software from Best Seller Reviews(http://www.best-seller-reviews.com/videoipodconverter/), the best of its kind all here.
