I am experiencing difficulty in deleting 24 icons from my Desktop that were downloaded from a digital camera. They keep copying themselves whenever I try a means to remove them.
I downloaded the pictures from a digital camera using Windows explorer, into an email that I sent to a recipient, and myself. From the email to myself I sent the pictures to my desktop. And from there my problem, and no solution from any source I can find.
I have Windows XP Home and use Outlook Express.
I'd appreciate any guidance or help.
Have you gone into your C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Desktop folder and right clicked on them and choose Delete?
Note: Owner could be your name.

Get Up task manager > click the processes > press username > end every process apart from explorer.exe and tskmngr.exe. Make sure nothing improtant is running, then delete them off your desktop.
Try deleting them in Safe Mode. Instructions for Safe Mode here;
