Too expensive

I still want that new/invisible Sony 50-incher (LCD rear proj). I would love to get a 50 inch Panasonic plasma, but they're $1200 more expensive, and the slight increase in image quality and physical convenience doesn't rationalize spending that much more money...
Oh well....

Best TVs under $2500

The absolute maximum I can justify spending on a TV is $2500, although I would rather spend around $2000. The two best TVs I identified in that price range are the Sony 42"/50" LCD projection sets and the new Panasonic 42" plasma. The XBR is supposed to be one of the best overall sets around, but even spending $3500 for the 50" set is out of the question.
