Transfer Date/Time stamp from to laptop w/o FireWire
by yltanonly - 4/29/06 3:38 PMI am trying to transfer hundreds of family videos from TRV-720 and NEED Date and Time stamps to transfer across as well. The laptop that I have does not have FireWire so I need to go through Sony DVDirect.

I installed a firewire card. The card and cable was under 30 bucks and saved me from a visit to the little padded room.

Firewire cards for laptops are at least $80. Is this the only way?

I get them all the time for less than half that at geeks.com or newegg.com
If you feel USB should do this, please ask the camcorder maker to show you how.
