1. What scanner did you use? Which program detected the win32adwaregen?
2. Where is the location of the infected file?
3. win32adwaregen is the infection name or the ID. What is the name of infected file?
Providing the above will help us determine what to do. Your profile don't have info on what system you are using (Windows XP? or earlier Windows)?

i ran a boot time scane with avast and i was told i had this virus in restore folder? what do i do, put in in the vault, or delete it? it will not repair, i tried

It is found in the restore folder? Then you have to disable system restore - reboot youor computer - run an anti virus scan again and after the scan is clean enable system restore again.
